About CMG

CMG received an honours bachelor of arts degree in English and history, graduating with distinction from Queen’s University in Kingston (Canada) in 2010.  She went on exchange to the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, for a year of study.  There, she had the opportunity to learn Gaelic, and to visit a number of the places in which the G. L. Morgan books are set, including Cornwall, Glencoe, and Westonzoyland.

A member of the Cavalier Society of Kingston and Civillians in the Midst of Alarums, CMG has re-enacted both seventeenth-century English and nineteenth-century Canadian history.  This hobby has allowed her to explore accurate historical clothing, food, dance, and music.  She is particularly fond of the harp, which she plays for personal enjoyment.

CMG is a member of the Writers’ Community of Durham Region, the Brooklyn Fiction Writers’ Circle, and the Kingston Writers’ Circle.  She is a past member of the University of Aberdeen’s Creative Writing and Storytelling Societies.  In her spare moments she enjoys rock climbing, Argentinean tango, and spending time with her dog.
